No Reasoning with the Hurricane Season
Hurricane season is officially here, and with it comes a more focused look at the weather. The yacht Liberte’ has gone to safe haven and sailed to Trinidad and Tobago, her destination for the hurricane season. You’ll have no hurricane worries while on board, since Trinidad was declared “hurricane safe” by the Miami Herald in 2006, as it lies just below the Atlantic hurricane belt. Although hurricane Ivan caused some damage on Tobago in 2004, there hasn’t been a major hurricane there since 1963 — good news for those seeking a peaceful tropical oasis in the midst of tumultuous hurricane time.
This 69′ ketch boasts four private guest cabins, a spacious salon and dining area, large lounging deck and shaded cockpit. Enjoy snorkeling, exploring on shore, sunbathing, or simply relaxing with a good book – all south of hurricane alley!
